Deltares heeft een verkennende analyse uitgevoerd om een eerste indruk te krijgen van de hydraulische effecten van de vernieuwing van productiebedrijf Noardburgum op de bestaande wingebieden en ruwwatertransportleidingen. Het betreft de wingebieden Ritskebos, Nij Beets en Garyp. De door Vitens gestelde vragen zijn beantwoord m.b.v.(indicatieve) hydraulische modellen in WANDA. De opgestelde modellen zullen verfijnd moeten worden om voor het detail ontwerp gebruikt te kunnen worden. De verkennende analyse heeft tot de onderstaande conclusies geleid m.b.t. de toekomstige situatie. Hierbij wordt opgemerkt dat deze conclusies alleen geldig zijn zo lang de conceptregelingen van het systeem niet significant veranderen en de instellingen van de windketels niet significant afwijken van de gemaakte aannames (zie hoofdstuk 3).

Deltares has conducted an exploratory analysis to get a first impression of the hydraulic effects of the renovation of the Noardburgum production plant on the existing extraction areas and raw water transport pipelines. This concerns the extraction areas Ritskebos, Nij Beets, and Garyp. The questions posed by Vitens were answered using (indicative) hydraulic models in WANDA. The developed models will need to be refined to be used for the detailed design. The exploratory analysis has led to the following conclusions regarding the future situation. It should be noted that these conclusions are only valid as long as the conceptual arrangements of the system do not change significantly and the settings of the air vessels do not significantly deviate from the assumptions made (see chapter 3).
